Animal print The Dior catwalk took a retro Mad Men approach to leopard print. So you’ll find me rummaging through preloved sites for the perfect coat to wear with an all-black ensemble. Rich shades like berry, burgundy and olive green These create a cosy yet luxurious feel when paired with winter staples.

Black and transparent Styled the right way, a black dress or blouse with a little transparency is just damn sexy. Go forth and reveal. Knee-high boots Especially ones inspired by the horse-riding aesthetic.

Chic, chic, chic! Box bags with top handles and mini bags With younger customers snapping up preloved, expect to see lots of personality when it comes to accessories. IT'S A NO-NO TO..

. Capes The problem with these is they add unnecessary bulk, I freeze in them and never know what to do with my hands. I like my outerwear sleek and simple.

A cape complicates everything. Skinny jeans Shriek! Jeans that you have to squeeze into and give your knees faces. Not going back there.

Camouflage I did this is my 20s and it looked awful then. Not repeating. Bag charms I couldn’t be bothered sticking lots of key rings on to my expensive bags.

It worked for Jane Birkin, but that doesn’t mean we all have to jump on this messy aesthetic. Neckties with tailored trouser suits I can’t see the point of these. Fuzzy shoes Do I want hairy feet like Bigfoot? I do not.

uk AHEAD OF THE CURVE British heritage bag brand Radley has been working hard on a makeover. Gone is the dog adornment and in its place are contemporary designs like the Lily (right). SPOTTED Lily Collins (right) is searching for a home to rent in London for the coming months.
