Paul Sinha plans to quit when his starts to affect his quizzing. He doesn’t want to be on the show if he isn’t on top form. Paul told me: “At the moment my Parkinson’s doesn’t affect how I am on the show – it doesn’t affect how I can answer questions.

“But if it ever did, I’d point it out to the producers. I know that one day that point will come and I don’t want to be a burden on the show.” Paul was diagnosed with the condition in 2019 aged just 49.

But he has refused to let it stop him living his life to the full and he plans to keep doing that for as long as possible. He said: “As long as I’m as good as I’ve always been, I’m happy to be on the show. “I’m not worried about it at the moment.

I’m just enjoying life and enjoying work. “As far as I’m aware, it doesn’t bother me.” Paul has appeared on The Chase regularly since his diagnosis and it’s inspiring other sufferers.

He said: “I get quite a lot of messages on social media and emails from people in my position. And people come up to me in the street. “People talk to me about it all the time.
