The recent CFDA Awards served as a fashion playground for celebrities to show off their glitzy style. Dubbed as the “Oscars of American fashion”, the event truly embodied what the country has to offer in terms of style – eclectic, diverse and predominantly informal. Unlike in France (think quiet chic) or Italy (maximalist to the core), the American style of dressing is a lot less defined.

New York City in itself (the ceremony took place in the Museum of Natural History) is known for being a melting pot of different aesthetics, from high fashion to streetwear – and everything else in between.
