Monday, September 23, 2024 The Cannes Yachting Festival concluded on September 15, 2024 drawing an impressive 55,000 visitors to the stunning Bay of Cannes over six remarkable days. This year’s festival showcased more than 700 boats, ranging from 5 to 45 meters in length. This includes motor, sailing, monohull, and multihull vessels with over 120 world premieres presented by leading international boat builders.

Key highlights from the festival Held at Vieux Port and Port Canto, the event featured both on-water and on-land exhibitions. Attendees explored the latest innovations in the maritime sector, focusing on sustainability and the development of the marine economy. “This year’s offering met all expectations,” said Sylvie Ernoult, Director of the Cannes Yachting Festival.



“The eco-friendly innovations showcased the industry’s commitment to sustainability .” Enhanced layout and visitor experience The 47th edition saw a reconfiguration of the exhibition space, with 360 boats displayed at Vieux Port and 340 at Port Canto. This new layout improved visitor flow and made it easier to explore the diverse offerings.

Vieux Port highlighted new motor yachts while Port Canto dedicated its space to sailing boats, including 120 new vessels making their debut. Power boat Marina debuts A standout feature was the newly introduced Power Boat Marina at Port Canto, covering nearly 3,000 m2 and accommodating 175 boats. This is providing a platform for visitors to experience various motor vessels, from sleek Scandinavian models to high-tech dayboats.

Commitment to Sustainability The festival also emphasized the marine industry’s shift toward eco-responsibility. Exhibitors showcased innovations in boat building, propulsion, waste management, and eco-design. An “Innovation Route” allowed visitors to explore cutting-edge technologies aimed at reducing the industry’s carbon footprint.

Notable Events and Partnerships The festival kicked off with dignitaries including Ana-Paula Martins De Oliveira, Deputy Mayor of Cannes, and Jean-Paul Chapeleau, President of the French Marine Industry Federation. Partnerships with companies like Roche Bobois and Mercedes ByMyCar enhanced the experience, while the event also aimed for net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 through various sustainability initiatives. A commitment to sustainable practices The Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 not only celebrated the finest in yachting but also reinforced a commitment to sustainable practices within the maritime industry.
