fans have been fuming after realising that some contestants have seemingly never watched the show. Many contestants appear shocked when they realise just how difficult the competition is and the work that must be done, leaving fans baffled and wondering how they even ended up on the show. Many fans have taken to social media to claim that the show's casting seems to have been more about personality than actual passion.

It comes after a production insider told , "The fact is Lucky Break Casting goes out and looks for very specific personality types. That is true. 100 per cent that is the focus.

" "The story has been about younger couples for a couple of seasons and that is because the story of couples of similar ages brings our competitive culture," our insider says. "The comparison of the same age couples is compelling for audiences too. The door was open to all Australians and the best couples who applied for the show were picked.

" Viewers aren't convinced that this is the case, with many believing that the show doesn't accept real fans who apply for the show. "Really looking forward to casting real fans who have applied multiple times, and not whining couples in their 20’s who have zero appreciation for the amazing opportunity they have been given!" one Instagram user wrote. Every contestant seeing the state of the houses as if they've never watched a series before — Stacey❤💙🏆 (@_Stacey1987) "This is the most boring scripted 'reality' TV ever.

.." another said.

"Gosh, do Jesse and Paige ever stop complaining, or are we just getting all of the highlights (or rather ‘lowlights’)? Lucky us," a Facebook user wrote. "There must have been so many applicants who missed out. AND we get recaps EVERY NIGHT.

Is there still time for the editors to rethink future episodes? And the silly flashbacks, yes, we know Ricky has a crush on Shelley, can we please see some ACTUAL BUILDING please?" Have these 🤡 never watched this show before 🤦🏻‍♀️ — Leah (@LeahJayK) "I didn't expect that" Have you NEVER watched this show before mate? — Gidgit VonLaRue (@GidgitVonLaRue) "Chosen for their drama, not building skills," another said. "It's like some of them have never watched the show," one Twitter user added, referencing Kristian, who turned to TikTok for advice after making a mistake with some plumbing this week. "The blandness of many of these contestants is quite boring, they don't seem to know how to react to problems.

I think the casting went awry...

20-somethings with nice teeth and hair, but not a lot of style or flair." "Why do people apply to go on this show?" an Instagram user wrote, also referencing Kristian. "They must know what is expected of them.

Why are some acting so dumb, is it an act that the producers are putting them up to make drama? It is so frustrating to watch. Just get on with the building of the houses like it used to be." "Pretty sure they have only watched the room reveals on previous shows and don't realise the work to achieve the finished look," someone else replied.
