3 Great Falls 10: In a night of statement wins, the unbeaten Raptors' takedown of the No. 3 Bison was right up there with the loudest. Carter Dahlke grabbed touchdown passes of 20 and 43 yards, Reese Dahlke scored on a keeper, a 14-yard burst and a screen pass, and Grant Vigen ran the show, throwing four TD passes.
No. 4 Billings West 36, Bozeman 17: The Golden Bears (6-0) became one of just two unbeaten teams left standing in Class AA as CJ Johnson was a man on fire, throwing for 404 yards and four touchdowns. Two of those scores went to Cohen Groener, 192 of those yards (plus a score) went to Power 4 recruit Matt Ludwig and Elias Bonner rounded out the West receivers who found paydirt.
Ludwig also had a 2-yard rushing score on a direct snap. Hawks (3-3) quarterback Kash Embry ran in a touchdown on the goal line and threw for another (from 36 yards out) to Evan Hughen. Missoula Big Sky 7, Missoula Hellgate 2: Senior Mason Fulford's 48-yard touchdown reception on a pass from junior Avery Omlid with 5:01 left was the difference in the Eagles' victory at blustery, rainy Missoula County Stadium.
Hellgate (0-6) recorded a safety in the second quarter. Keller Hiedrick had 78 rushing yards on 21 carries for Big Sky (5-1). Omlid was 9 for 21 passing for 117 yards.
Knights quarterback Vince Paffhausen was 7 for 12 passing for 29 yards and teammate Parker Link had four catches for 24 yards. H.
