Cardiff is about to get another lunchtime option and it's from a pie van that's been drawing foodies up to a Radyr Cricket Club over the summer. Luckily, we are not short for banging pies in Cardiff city centre, there's already The Pie Box Cafe on Tudor Street serving amazing vegan pies which you can read about here, but there's always scope for more pies in my world. Hailing from the Midlands, where a good meat pie is king, I am delighted to see that Donald's, which was formerly a pop-up pie and coffee van, has now opened a permanent home in the city.

All summer Donald's, run by long-time hospitality worker Gareth Owens, served quality coffee and amazing pies from a van in Radyr Cricket Club. Their new location on Quay Street is just a stone's throw away from the Principality Stadium and will be open seven days a week. The pies are supplied by the very talented Billy Howes, who runs his pie business Motley Pie & Coffee in Gowerton, which you can read more about, here.
