Director Alleppey Ashraf recently opened up about a troubling experience involving actor Biju Menon during a YouTube video. Ashraf, known for his numerous hit films, shared insights into an incident that took place when Menon was on the rise in his career. Describing Menon as a "pure soul" who would "harm no one," Ashraf recounted how the actor, then unmarried, attended a public function in Thiruvananthapuram, where a prominent woman MLA was also present.
Following the event, the MLA approached Menon and obtained his phone number, given her influential position at the time. The next day, the MLA called Menon, initially to discuss casual matters. However, their conversations soon shifted to late-night calls, causing Menon some apprehension.
A few days later, the MLA inquired about Menon’s shirt size and subsequently sent him several shirts as gifts, revealing her growing infatuation. Amid this, Menon had plans to travel to Sri Lanka with friends to watch a cricket match. When he informed the MLA of his trip, her demeanor changed.
She asserted her political power, claiming she could manipulate even senior Congress leaders. After Menon and his friends departed for Sri Lanka, producer Suresh Kumar contacted Ashraf with alarming news. Suresh had received information that police were planning to frame Menon for the alleged death of an actress, suggesting that he could be arrested upon his return to Thiruvananthapuram.
