Netflix has secured the streaming rights for the highly anticipated film The Greatest of All Time (GOAT). Directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment, GOAT stars Vijay in the lead role, alongside an ensemble cast that includes Prabhudheva, Prashanth, Sneha, and Laila. The film, which was released in theaters on September 5, 2024, will begin streaming on Netflix from early next month (October 3), according to news reports.
However, there has not been any confirmation from Netflix. During the film’s promotional tour, director Venkat Prabhu delighted fans by announcing that Netflix would release a special director’s cut of the film, which will feature around 20 minutes of deleted scenes not included in the theatrical version. GOAT performed well at the box office, earning approximately Rs 244.50 crore in its first 19 days of release (India net), according to box office tracker Sacnilk.
