The findings reveal that while more than 75% of Australians are eager to explore new destinations, rising travel costs have made such aspirations increasingly difficult to achieve. Despite financial hurdles, many Australians remain resolute in their desire to travel in 2025.

To stretch their budgets, they are embracing strategies like choosing low-cost airlines, incorporating stopover vacations, and planning trips during less crowded, off-peak times. The study also highlights a notable shift in Australians’ travel preferences. With domestic travel expenses climbing, nearly half of respondents are considering international destinations, which now present a comparatively cost-effective option.



Furthermore, the survey uncovers how Australians are making lifestyle adjustments to prioritize their travel goals. Approximately 40% are reducing discretionary spending, 26% are taking on additional work to boost their income, and 25% are deferring significant purchases to fund their journeys. A recent study reveals that Australians are embracing cost-effective strategies to make international travel more accessible.
