Between January 1 and August 11, 2024, Thailand welcomed 21,796,763 international tourists. This surge in arrivals is partly attributed to public holidays in several countries and the summer break in Europe, which has boosted travel activity. Over the past week alone, the country saw 751,419 foreign arrivals, marking an increase of 41,182 or 5.
8% compared to the previous week. Chinese tourists continue to lead the way, with 4,398,623 arrivals so far this year. They are followed by Malaysian tourists at 3,021,624 and Indian tourists at 1,255,358.
