As of mid-September, the volume of international flight bookings for the holiday had already surged to double the amount recorded during the same period last year.
According to Qunar, a travel agency based in Beijing, its international bookings encompass approximately 1,600 destinations across over 140 countries, with more than half of these new destinations located in Africa. Significantly, there has been a 250 percent increase in bookings from individuals residing in third-tier cities and smaller regions, highlighting a robust appetite for travel among Chinese residents, as reported by Qunar.
