Wednesday, January 22, 2025 Nation Welcomes Over 2 Million Tourists in First 19 Days of 2025, Generating 107 Billion Baht in Revenue. Thailand Sees an 18.63% Rise in Foreign Tourists, Surpassing 2 Million Visitors in Post-New Year Period, Reports Tourism Ministry.

Between January 1 and 19, Thailand welcomed 2,139,901 international visitors, bringing approximately 107.37 billion baht in revenue to local businesses. China led the influx of foreign travelers, contributing 354,091 arrivals, followed by Malaysia with 216,860 visitors, Russia with 165,501, South Korea with 124,823, and India with 117,896.



Minister Sorawong Thienthong announced that foreign arrivals experienced a modest uptick of 2.27% between January 13 and 19, driven by growth in short-haul markets, which compensated for a decline in long-haul travelers. Chinese visitors recorded the most significant increase during the week, rising by 9.
