Gearing up for the end-of-year holiday season, Thai AirAsia X will resume its popular Bangkok to Sydney route from Dec 1. Six flights a week will be operated, with two on Friday and one each day on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. For more convenience, travellers may book FlyThru from Phuket, Krabi, Hat Yai, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai with a short stopover in Don Mueang.

The airline plans to expand the frequency of its flights to Tokyo (18 times a week), Osaka (14 times a week), Sapporo (seven times a week), Nagoya (once a week), Seoul (14 times a week) and Shanghai (seven times a week). At the final location, passengers merely need to provide their immigration clearance and pick up their luggage. Thai AirAsia X plans to expand its fleet from eight Airbus A330s to 11 by the end of the year, and will add three to five aircraft each year, depending on its anticipated growth and demand.



Visit airsia.com . Nihao Month The Tourism Authority of Thailand is launching the Nihao Month campaign with special events and promotions during September and October to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Thai-Chinese relations next year.

One of the highlights is the "Amazing Thailand, Mid-Autumn Night" event on Sept 17 at Parc Paragon, where superstar Luo Yunxi will all make an appearance on stage as the China-Thailand Cultural Friendship Ambassador, as well as Thai artists Pittaya Sae-chow and Davika Hoorne. For the Nihao Month campaign, TAT has set a target of 250,000 Chinese arrivals over the upcoming Golden Week. Special events and promotions will further boost Thailand's positive reputation as the top travel destination for Chinese tourists.

On Oct 5 and 12, TAT will organise the "Sound Of Friendship Concert" at Siam Paragon, and a Meet & Greet activity so lucky fans can interact with Thai stars. In a collaboration between TAT and China's leading travel platforms, including Ctrip, Fliggy, Meituan, Tongcheng and UnionPay, joint promotions will be launched to attract Chinese tourists with a wide range of special deals on airfares, accommodation and travel activities, and discount vouchers and souvenirs throughout December. TAT is also arranging two "Friendship Caravans" for 200 travellers.

From Sept 22 to Oct 13, 50 people will be able to explore Laos, Thailand and Malaysia in a fleet of 20 luxury cars during the initial trip. From Sept 30 to Oct 7, the second trip will take 150 passengers in 50 automobiles from Kunming, China, to Thailand's northern towns such as Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai and Lampang.
