21, enjoy a day-full of pepper themed festivities teetering the Scoville scale at Keremeos’ Memorial Park. “As Canada’s one and only hot pepper festival, this event is guaranteed to be the spiciest one yet,” reads a Similkameen Country Development Association press release. The annual festival will see 45 vendors, food trucks, local produce, activities, and live music.

Entertainment includes performances by Double Stop Creek and The Rays. There will also be several 50/50 raffles throughout the day. "We’re beyond excited to bring everyone together for another unforgettable day of food, music, and fun," said Vanessa Schwoegler-Abbott, event coordinator.

"Our goal is to showcase just how amazing our community here in Keremeos truly is. We encourage folks from out of town to make a weekend trip of it — there’s so much to explore in our beautiful valley!” The signature hot sauce contest begins at 12 p.m.
