Tesco said: “We’re recalling specific date codes of Tesco Finest Six All Butter Pastry Mince Pies, due to the possible presence of small pieces of dry glue from the packaging.” The possible presence of the dry glue from the packaging makes them unsafe to eat.

No other Tesco products are affected by this issue, according to the supermarket . Product batches affected: 04/10/2024 26/10/2024 02/11/2024 10/11/2024 Tesco added: “If you’ve bought an affected product, please don’t eat it. Instead, return it to a Tesco store for a refund.

In other food recall news, Waitrose has recalled its Easy to Cook Salmon En Croute 350g and Waitrose Easy to Cook Salmon and Sweet Potato Curry 500g This is due to undeclared allergens including milk, wheat, soya and mustard. Customers are urged not to consume this product and instead return it to your local store for a refund.
