There were scary scenes during the Denver Broncos’ upset win over the New York Jets, with a player carted off on a stretcher. Denver running back Tyler Badie was tackled by Jets linebacker Quincy Williams on the last play of the first quarter, with Williams’ helmet striking Badie in the lower back. Badie walked OK to the sideline but once he was there, he was laid down on his back and attended too by medical staff for several minutes before he was taken off the field.
The Jets forced a turnover on the play when Badie fumbled the ball but it was one of the rare highlights of the day for the Jets, who didn’t cross the end zone during the upset 10-9 loss.
