Prayagraj : The Shyamlal Agarwal Memorial Uttar Pradesh state-level prize money tennis tournament successfully commenced at the Gymkhana Tennis Academy at Chandrashekar Azad Park, under the aegis of the Tennis Development Welfare Society. More than 100 players from cities such as Prayagraj, Varanasi, Bareilly, and Lucknow are participating in the four-day event. The tournament was inaugurated by the chief guest, Sanjeev Agarwal, who is an eminent philanthropist of the city.

On the inaugural day, in the boys (Under-12) semi-finals, Haris Khan of Prayagraj defeated Jai Jaiswal of Varanasi 6-4, while Mohammad Faiz of Prayagraj defeated Anuyaj Bajpai 6-3. In the boys (Under-14) semi-finals, Kinjal Srivastava of Prayagraj defeated Haris Khan of Prayagraj 6-1, and Rishant Jaiswal, also from Prayagraj, defeated Achyut Jaiswal of the same city by 6-3. In the boys (Under-16) quarterfinals, Rishi Yadav of Prayagraj defeated Harsh Kumar, also from Prayagraj, 6-1.



Likewise, Rishant Jaiswal of Prayagraj defeated Shreyansh Mukherjee of Prayagraj, 6-1. Kinjal Srivastava defeated Tejas Dayal of Prayagraj, 6-4. Yash Patel defeated Aditya Vaibhav 6-1.
