Headlining the festival will be Gamilaraay man, Mitch Tambo.

Blending traditional Aboriginal sounds and language with contemporary hits, Tambo is a powerhouse who effortlessly integrates his deep-rooted culture with his music. Cirkus Bizurkus will run high-energy activities including hula hooping, ribbon twirling and plate spinning. There will be roving entertainment, magic design activities and jewellery making.

The Geoffrey McFerran Young Victorian Piano Competition Regional Prize is awarded annually by the Victorian Music Teachers' Association. The event is delivered by the VMTA and Murray River Fine Music. The prize has been established in 2024 by the McFerran family in honour of Geoffrey, who left a generous bequest to the VMTA.

McFerran was a highly accomplished and generous pianist, teacher and clinician, who championed the pursuit of musical excellence in piano across Victoria. The regional event is a two-day competition, with all students performing in the Saturday heat event and final placings awarded in the Sunday finals event. Adjudicator will be David Lempriere-Laughton, a highly sought after solo and collaborative pianist who has a successful career throughout Europe, the US and Australasia.

Entry to Sunday's finals: Adult $15, concession $10, family $25 - payable at the door. Anything you can cook in a regular oven can be cooked in the wood fired oven. Bring your ingredients, invite your friends and meet at Hovell Tree Park, near the Albury Swim Centre, to discover the delicious tastes of wood fired food.

The ovens are fired up every second Sunday for free community use. An expert oven co-ordinator is on hand to help. Celebrate all things quintessentially British at The Pickled Sisters Cafe and Restaurant.
