The Telethon weekend began in spectacular fashion, with a celebrity-packed conga line that travelled from Subiaco to the arena. Nova's Nathan, Nat, and Shaun launched the conga live on-air — heading up the line at the station's home in Subiaco. They picked up a raft of celebrities on the way, who were raring to go for the fundraising extravaganza, including Ant Middleton, Premier Roger Cook and Deputy Premier Rita Saffioti.
Issa Schultz from The Chase and Channel 7 presenters Michael Usher and Rick Ardon also joined in. Telethon superstar Fat Cat surprised the group by joining for the last 500m before setting off a buzzer to officially mark the beginning of the Telethon weekend. Nova 93.
