:Tourism and culture minister Jupally Krishna Rao said Telangana will be promoted afresh as a premier sightseeing destination. Speaking at the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Travel Mart held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, he represented Telangana along with five other Indian states and 900 delegates from 45 countries. At the event, minister Rao inaugurated a stall set up by the Telangana transport department featuring Budhavanam in Nagarjunasagar, Charminar in Hyderabad, and the Lucknow cable bridge in Mulugu district to lure international tourists.

The minister invited all to explore Telangana's Unesco-recognised Ramappa Temple, Golconda Fort, Warangal Fort, Kakatiya Arch, Charminar, Qutb Shahi Tombs, the largest Buddhist project in Asia, the Thousand Pillar Temple, and Pochampally, named the world's best tourist village. Minister Rao also outlined plans to develop theme-based Buddhist and heritage circuits to enhance tourism and preserve Telangana's rich cultural legacy. These initiatives will be a key focus in Telangana's upcoming tourism policy.



Telangana tourism development corporation executive director Vijay and other officials attended the event. During the travel mart on Wednesday, minister Rao talked to Indian ambassador to Thailand Nagesh Singh, Thailand's tourism department executive director Malini Nitikasanthon, and PATA India Chapter executive director Raneef Sancha, among other international representatives..
