The recap-podcast industry has been instrumental in healing the psyches of former sitcom stars. Two spinoffs later , Ted Danson is apologizing to Kelsey Grammer for the beef they had on the Cheers set. On his and Woody Harrelson’s podcast, Where Everybody Knows Your Name , Danson apologized to Grammer for having been “out on the last 30 years” of friendship.

Apparently, the two got into it one time on the set of Cheers, and the relationship never fully recovered. “I feel like I got stuck a little bit with you during the Cheers years. I have a memory of getting angry at you once,” Danson said, and Grammer agreed.

“And it’s stuck in both of our memories. But I feel like, fuck, I don’t know. I missed out on the last 30 years of Kelsey Grammer, and I feel like it’s my bad, my doing, and I almost feel like apologizing to you.

” After saying this, Danson actually did apologize, which Grammer accepted with grace. “My love for you has always been as easy as the day,” he told Danson. “You know, as easy as the sunrise.

” Grammer specifically recalled the heartening words Danson gave him on his 40th birthday. This was after their rift, but Danson still went to Grammer’s birthday and said, “You know what it means, don’t you? Now that you’re 40, it means you’re finally worth having a conversation with.” Grammer said, “That was fucking brilliant.

I always loved that. And I thought about it, and I’ve repeated it.” So there you have it: Life begins.
