The publicly funded gift basket also contained Edinburgh Gin, Whiskey, tea, and other goodies, which came to a total of £1,235. It is understood the gift was sent in the hopes the council's Lord Provost Robert Aldridge would be able to meet with Ms Swift for a photocall, reports the Sunday Mail. The gift sets also contained a letter asking if she would wear one of the guitar straps on stage and sign the other so it could be auctioned off for charity .
