Hurricane Milton, which made landfall on Wednesday, is being described as "the storm of the century" Taylor Swift has donated a whopping US$5million to Feeding America for Hurricane Helene and Milton relief efforts. At the time of writing, the hurricane has resulted in an estimate of more than 220 deaths , while hundreds of others remain missing.

Hundreds of thousands of homes are without power and infrastructural damage is widespread. Yesterday (October 9), Hurricane Milton hit Florida, and has since been described by exiting President Joe Biden as “the storm of the century” and “the one of the most and worst destructive hurricanes to hit Florida in over a century”. Now, the non-profit organisation Feeding America has revealed that Taylor Swift has made a “generous $5million donation” that will be used to “help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms.
