Sunday, October 6, 2024 Tay Ninh, a southern province of Vietnam, is actively investing in tourism as a crucial component of its socio-economic development strategy. Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, highlighted that 2024 is a pivotal year for implementing the province’s five-year economic development plan (2021-2025), with tourism identified as a key focus area. The province is targeting a growth rate of 7.
2% in its gross regional domestic product (GRDP) during the first nine months of 2024, a positive outlook attributed to effective policies and solutions addressing existing challenges. Recently, Tay Ninh signed a cooperation agreement with Saigontourist Group to maximize the region’s tourism potential. This partnership aims to enhance key projects, including developments at the Ba Den Mountain national tourism area and initiatives for forest protection and eco-tourism at Nhim Island – Dau Tieng Reservoir.
In the past nine months, a range of tourism activities tied to cultural events and collaborations with other localities and businesses have been organized to attract visitors, connect points of interest, and create new tour experiences. Local heritage sites, attractions, and accommodations have improved their infrastructure and services while introducing new offerings to cater to the needs of residents and tourists alike. As a result of these efforts, Tay Ninh welcomed approximately 4.
5 million visitors and generated about 2.38 tril.
