Speaking on ‘Bad News’ and what’s to come for her solo project, Tay has shared on social media: “This song was the first I created for this EP, and it always felt significant.
It stands out sonically from the rest of the songs on the upcoming EP and pays tribute to my roots. “Lyrically, it’s about standing up for yourself and recognizing your exhaustion with disappointments, while also reflecting on your own role in it all. It’s okay to feel upset, and I hope this song reminds you that your feelings are valid too.
