Tata has launched its Curvv.ev at a starting price of Rs 17.49 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Here is everything that you need to know. Tata has been teasing the upcoming Curvv.ev for quite some time now and it has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 17.



49 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of the MG ZS EV and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV. Here are all the details of the Tata Curvv.

ev. Tata Curvv.ev: Design The Curvv.

ev shares its design with the Tata Nexon. It has a LED lightbar at the front with LED headlights and fog lamps placed lower on the bumper. It gets 18-inch wheels and has 5-spoke aero style wheels shod in 215/55 R18 tyres.

In terms of the sides, it is similar to the Nexon till the B-pillar after which the roof slopes down into a coupe shape. The rear has a full length lightbar for the taillight and there is a roof spoiler as well. The Curvv.

ev draws its design inspiration from the coupe SUVs which are highly popular in the luxury segment. Tata Curvv.ev: Interior Design In terms of the interior, the Curvv.

ev has similar design to what we have seen in the Nexon. It has the same dashboard and comes with digital steering wheel as well with a light-up logo. The dashboard is dominated by a 10.

25-inch touchscreen. It also gets a 10.25-inch digital drivers display.

The interior colour is white and it gets silver trim on the dashboard. It will also get a 500L trunk which is quite a respectable amount of space even after the coupe design. Tata Curvv.

ev: Tech And Features The Tata Curvv like most new Tata cars will be loaded with features. It will come with two digital screens which will include a 12.30-inch touchscreen and a 10.

25-inch digital drivers display. It will get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an air purifier, a JBL sound system, ambient lighting, connected car tech, voice assistant, wireless charger and inbuilt navigation. It will also feature ventilated seats, electronic parking brake, paddle shifters, an electronically actuated boot and a panoramic sunroof.

The Curvv.ev will also get Level 2 ADAS which will include features like Auto Emergency braking and Blind Spot monitoring. Other safety features will also include 360-degree cameras, 6-airbags as standard and 3-point seat belts for all passengers.

Tata Curvv.ev: Drivertrain, Battery And Range The Curvv.ev is based on an all new fully electric platform providing greater space and efficiency for a fully electric vehicle.

This is the second vehicle form Tata to be offered on a standalone EV platform after the Tata Punch. There are two battery options. The lower capacity battery is a 45 kWh unit which gives it an estimated range of 502 kms.

The longer range battery is a 55 kWh which gives it an estimated range of 585 kms. Power will go to the front wheels via the 165 bhp electric motors and it will do 0-100 kmph in 8.5 seconds and will have a top speed of 160 kmph.

In terms of charging, the Curvv.ev will boast fast DC charging and will be able to go from 10-80% in a mere 40 minutes using a 70 kW DC charger. It will also get V2V with 5 kVa charging and V2L charging with 3.

ev will have 5 variants which are Creative, Accomplished, Accomplished+S, Empowered and Empowered+A. Bookings will open from August 12, 2024 and it will have a starting price of Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 21.
