Tata is all set to launch their Curvv coupe SUV in August. They have already teased the EV version quite a few times and now have also showcased the ICE version in all its glory in new video. The Tata Curvv coupe SUV is going to take on one of the most popular segments in India.

It will compete against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Honda Elevate. Tata will be launching the all electric version as well as the ICE version as well in both petrol and diesel options. Tata has teased the Curvv.

ev plenty of times and now has also showcased the ICE version in a new teaser video right before its launch which showcases a lot of the new upcoming features. Tata has also showcased some new features of the Curvv in the new video. It gets a panoramic sunroof which is the new fad in the Indian market.

It also gets an electronic rear tailgate which will be a segment first. The Curvv will get a full LED lightbar DRL up at the front, with LED headlights and fog lamps similar to what we have seen in the Nexon and other Tata cars. At the rear, there is a full length LED taillight lightbar as well.

It will most likely get 17-inch wheels and rear disc brakes. The Curvv also features flush door handles which is another segment first. Other features will be very similar to what we have seen in the Nexon.

Ventilated seats, 360-degree view camera, an air purifier, a 10.25-inch touch screen infotainment screen and a digital drivers display will all be the same and be available in the upper variants. There is no confirmation about any ADAS safety systems as we could not sport the front Radar for adaptive cruise control in any of the teasers.

The Tata Curvv ICE version will come with a 1.5L diesel engine initially and will also get an all new 1.2L T-Gdi turbo petrol motor soon after.

The diesel variant is also rumored to be offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission which is going to be another first in the segment and we haven’t seen this drivetrain option since the days of old Volkswagen diesels paired to their DSG gearbox. Its a good change since the Nexon still works with the age old AMT paired to the diesel which will be sacrilege for a premium SUV. The coupe SUV shape is something that will be very unique to the vehicle and has been a popular body-shape in luxury SUVs.

The Curvv will launch on August 7, 2024. Deliveries will most likely take place in the festive season and we expect the ICE version to have a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
