Take charge of your wellbeing at a free university health fair this Saturday. Bolton’s Health Mela 2024 will take place on August 10 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at The University of Bolton’s Social Learning Zone on Chancellor’s Mall, University Way. It will offer free health assessments like height, weight and body mass index (BMI), blood pressure check-ups and nutrition requirements.

Healthcare professionals will be there providing expert nutrition and lifestyle advice. Free lunch and campus parking will be provided. The Health Mela is organised by the University of Bolton in collaboration with NHS Bolton Foundation Trust.

It aims to provide people with access to important health screenings and information that might otherwise be costly or inaccessible. Dr Harni Bharaj, Deputy Medical Director and Consultant Physician at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming people to the University of Bolton Greater Manchester and opening up the conversation about wellness. “It’s so important that people feel empowered to take control of their health and confident enough to reach out for support if they’re struggling.

“We’ll have a wide range of health professionals available to speak to on the day who are experts in their field and can provide the information people need to make positive changes in their life.” To register for the event, go to https://eshop.bolton.
