Friday, January 24, 2025 The Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA), operating under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC), is set to host the highly anticipated 36th Taiwan Lantern Festival from February 12 to February 23, 2025. This year, the festival celebrates the Year of the Snake with the theme “Infinite Paradise,” inviting global travelers to experience the vibrancy and tradition of Taiwan in Taoyuan, near the Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station. Visitors from around the world will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Taiwan’s rich cultural heritage while witnessing stunning lantern displays and artistic creations.

A Monumental Lantern Takes Center Stage At the heart of the festival will stand an awe-inspiring 18-meter-tall main lantern, intricately designed in the shape of an infinity symbol, titled “Paradise.” Crafted by renowned artist Akibo Li, the massive lantern symbolizes the boundless opportunities and growth that Taiwan envisions for the year ahead. Alongside this magnificent centerpiece, visitors will encounter geometric light installations, each adding to the festival’s stunning visual display that celebrates Taiwan’s future possibilities.



Snake-Themed Eco-Friendly Lanterns In a unique twist for 2025, the festival will offer eco-conscious, snake-themed promotional lanterns. These innovative creations feature a seven-segment, movable structure, allowing users to shape the lantern into various forms. Designed to run on USB Ty.
