However, the Tennessee Titans wide receiver that has been caught by a so-called “thirst trap.” While Hopkins is currently sidelined with a knee injury suffered during training camp, it appears that he has been using his recovery time scrolling through Instagram and couldn’t help but comment on a provocative post by the 26-year-old movie star.
Sweeney posted a series of snaps while having a fun time out on a lake and laughing with some friends. She was wearing a black wetsuit with a plunging zipper line in the front that also showed off her, ahem, assets from behind. “I think they call this a thirst trap,” Sweeney captioned her post .
According to screenshot shared on X, Hopkins certainly took the bait, commenting “Trapped.” He wasn’t the only one caught by her revealing look with the post racking up more than 4.5 million likes in four days.
“Sydney I’m speechless,” one fan wrote. “Literally the most beautiful human being alive and she’s got an amazing personality too bro she’s perfect,” another commented. While the former all-pro receiver is believed to be single, Sweeney has been engaged to her fiance, businessman and producer Jonathan Davino, since 2022.
Sweeney rose to fame for her role on hit HBO TV series Euphoria and recently broke onto the big screen with several starring roles over the past year. She recently headlined Anyone But You and Immaculate , while taking a supporting role in Madame Web . As for Hopkins, he is looking to build off his first season in Tennessee, during which he caught 75 passes for 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns.
The Titans face the Saints in their pre-season finale in New Orleans on Sunday, but Hopkins is unlikely to play. According to reports , he is “shooting” to be ready for the team’s regular-season opener against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 8.
