Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried are set to sizzle onscreen in The Housemaid. The pair have signed on for the thrilling flick, helmed by none other than the ace director Paul Feig for Lionsgate. The chiller is drawn from Freida McFadden's hit novel with Rebecca Sonnenshine spinning the tale into a screenplay.

Double trouble at its finest: Sydney and Amanda aren't just acting, they're also calling the shots as executive producers along with producers Feig and Laura Fischer. In the cinematic scare-fest, Sweeney morphs into Millie, a young woman battling the odds who lands the chance of a lifetime as a housemaid for Seyfried's Nina and her other half Andrew. But she's quick to discover that their closeted skeletons are scarier than any of her own demons.

Cinema bigwig Adam Fogelson, chair of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, couldn't contain his excitement: "I'm thrilled to have The Housemaid join our upcoming slate." He gushed: "A great filmmaker and a great cast with a great script from a great book is a terrific place to start. My prior work experiences with Paul and Amanda have been nothing short of spectacular, and Sydney is as talented and compelling as can be.

" Erin Westerman, who shares the captain's seat as co-president, chimed in: "Part of the fun of the book was imagining the cast while we read it, and Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried are perfect for Millie and Nina. They're both mysterious, nuanced, and incredibly skilled at becoming characters who don't reveal.
