Saturday, August 24, 2024 Sydney Airport has teamed up with United Airlines, Memphis Tourism, and Travel Texas to introduce the Houston Training Platform, a groundbreaking online portal tailored for Australian travel agents. This initiative aims to equip agents with in-depth knowledge of America’s vibrant southern culture, enabling them to craft enriching itineraries for travelers. The Houston Training Platform offers an engaging, interactive learning experience, allowing travel agents to delve into the soul of America’s South.

The platform covers a wide range of topics, including insights into United Airlines’ flight experience, the region’s unique culinary and musical traditions, and a calendar of must-attend local events. Travel agents who complete the training will have the chance to win a spot on the highly anticipated 2025 Houston Familiarisation Trip. This exclusive, fully hosted experience will feature accommodations, iconic local attractions, and dining opportunities that showcase the best of Houston.



Participants must meet specific eligibility criteria and adhere to the terms and conditions to enter the draw. Sydney Airport Group Executive, Aviation Growth and Strategy, Greg Botham said, “We’re pleased to support United Airlines, as well as Memphis Tourism, and Travel Texas to showcase this incredible part of the world and promote the destination knowledge of America’s South to Australian travel agents. “In particular, Houston is an extremely powerful transport hub, and United Airlines’ Sydney to Houston service connects Sydney to 100 cities in key US and South American destinations providing exceptional connectivity for passengers.

“This project highlights our commitment to innovative industry engagements that drive passenger demand for our airline partners.” United Airlines will operate three weekly flights in November and December 2024, and then switch to a daily schedule for the rest of the Northern Winter season.
