In an interview with Billboard , Angello was asked about the progress of a new album from the group. He initially responded with laughter before saying: “We had an album, we scrapped it, and we put out singles.” He continued: “We are still always working on music and when we feel like [what we have] is good enough, we will put it out.
As a creator, if you’re not feeling something, it’s not going to see daylight.” Angello went on to tell fans not to worry as they can expect new Swedish House Mafia music soon despite their scrapped LP. “There’s always a lot coming, especially with us,” he said.
“We’ve made so much music in the past couple of years, so we’re just going to have this flow of putting out records.” Last year, the trio hinted that a new album was on its way during their .
