Bayern Munich is a breeding ground for legends of the beautiful game. Bayern Munich players such as Franz Beckenbauer and Gerd Müller are revered by many in the game including plenty of fans who never watched them play live. Müller still holds the record for the highest number of goals overall in the Bundesliga while Beckenbauer’s elegance captured the hearts of soccer fans for years.

Therefore, when one is asked to name the biggest Bayern legend to them, it is an extremely difficult question to answer. It is a question that would divide BFW staff from different generations but, one can safely assume that quite a few might nod with a smile when hearing Jamal Musiala’s and Sven Ulreich’s answers. According to @_kochmaximilian per @iMiaSanMia , these are the answers of the players: Sven Ulreich and Jamal Musiala asked who for them is the biggest Bayern legend Ulreich: "Bastian Schweinsteiger" Musiala: "Thomas Müller" [ @_kochmaximilian ] pic.

twitter.com/QvRzxlN46v — Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) August 2, 2024 Sven Ulreich tugged at the heartstrings of Bayern supporters who saw Basti break his collar bone, who watched Basti break down and sink to the floor in the final game of the 2012 UEFA Champions League campaign, and yet come back from such adversity to become Bayern’s heartbeat as they conquered all in 2012/2013 and as Germany won the World Cup in 2014. Meanwhile, Jamal Musiala showed the ultimate respect to the legend whose position he does not quite fit well into but is perhaps set to take over, Thomas Müller.

He would do well to continue learning from Müller, the Bayern II star who made it big in his boyhood club.
