The camp was organized by the District Tourism Development Department in partnership with the Khabbidhar Tourism Development Organisation.
This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to boost tourism in rural areas, with a special focus on sustainable practices. The event was presided over by District Tourism Development Officer Rajeev Mishra, who addressed the importance of increasing tourism awareness among the residents of Jammuhaar. Mishra emphasized the need for community involvement in tourism activities, especially in emerging destinations like Khabbidhar, which holds great potential for rural tourism.
In his address, Mishra outlined the administration’s current efforts to develop Khabbidhar into a well-known tourism destination. He shared the department’s long-term vision for rural and sustainable tourism, which aims to create opportunities for local youth to engage in the tourism business and benefit from the growing sector. The primary goal of the awareness camp was to educate the local youth about the prospects of tourism in their area.
Plans were announced to hold similar camps in the future to further foster tour.
