A new high-security car "bunker" for the super rich has opened - and it's already brimming with luxury motors. Shy Automotive is a 50,000-square-foot car warehouse just off the A23 in Bolney, near Haywards Heath. The firm says it offers the best "care, security, and discretion" for owners of top-value cars for £100 per week, per car.

Clients have the assurance of 24-hour security with 40 CCTV cameras - as well as required fingerprint recognition to enter the site. Each one of the 590 cars the facility is home to is fitted with dual heat-activated sprinklers to protect them from any fires - and humidity levels are maintained at between 48 and 55 per cent to prevent any moisture, rust, or corrosion from damaging a vehicle. Upon arrival, a record is created for each supercar - with its condition meticulously captured through Shy's custom camera array.

(Image: SHY Automotive / SWNS) Daniel Wood and Desmond Boughton, co-founders of Shy Automotive, said their facility was founded on a single question: "You wouldn’t put priceless artwork in a barn, so why would you do it with a car?" Mr Wood said: "At Shy Automotive, we understand that every vehicle we store is more than just a mode of transport; it’s a treasured asset, often with significant sentimental and financial value. "We are proud to offer a storage solution that truly respects the value of these remarkable machines." Mr Boughton added: "We created Shy Automotive to address a critical gap in the market for secure, high-end car storage.
