Summer Sessions will return to Southampton next year, with a headline show from Simple Minds. The series of live music events in Guildhall Square this summer was a huge success, drawing bumper crowds of music lovers for acts including Tom Jones, Kaiser Chiefs, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Loyle Carner and Placebo. Festival favourites Simple Minds will take to the stage on Sunday June 29, 2025 and tickets go on sale later this week.

Over a 40-year career, the band has explored a wide range of musical styles—from avant-garde and art-rock to stadium anthems—while remaining quintessentially themselves.



Famed for hits like the Don’t You (Forget About Me) and UK No.1 Belfast Child, the band has sold over 60 million records. Three studio albums Sparkle In The Rain, Once Upon A Time, and Street Fighting Years hit No.

1 in the UK, alongside live album Live In The City Of Light.
