Suga, a member of the K-pop supergroup BTS, is facing severe backlash and media scrutiny after he fell off an e-scooter while intoxicated and also failed a breathalyzer test, showing he was over the blood-alcohol limit. The Haegeum rapper, who has taken a break from music to perform his mandatory military service, has since apologised admitting to the traffic rule violation, revealing he was fined and got his license revoked. The incident has caused a major uproar online, partly because many claimed Suga and his management agency HYBE, tried to downplay the DUI incident by releasing false statements.

Amid this, an unidentified eyewitness also accused Suga of acting like a “high school bully” and not taking his military service seriously.

..— agustd (@BTS_twt_AGSTD) August 7, 2024 Those disappointed with the rapper’s action sent protest trucks outside the HYBE headquarters on August 16, demanding Suga’s complete exit from BTS.

According to AllKPop, the trucks consisted of several messages including “Today is D-Day when drunk driver Suga leaves BTS.” Another read, “You told fans to hold their heads high but then went and committed a DUI.” One more stated, “Suga is a drunk driver.

A criminal should leave the group.” Since antis are trying so hard to cosplay as ARMYs, it's time we take back control and trend what a true ARMY really stands for! Join the trend with any BTS merch! 💪🔥 #anti_OUT_challenge #suga_stays_challenge #ARMY_challenge #apobangpo7 #BTSisSeven #SugaStays @BTS_twt pic.twitter.

Fans can't stop everything. Company needs to take further step asap. Move already @BIGHIT_MUSIC @HYBEOFFICIALtwt #SUGA — JungkookArmy (@Jungkoo40122634) August 17, 2024 Supporters of the rapper are condemning the actions of the protestors calling them anti-fans.

Meanwhile, many have taken to openly shower support for the BTS idol. “We love you and trust you, Yoongi! ARMY are right behind you,” wrote a fan on X. Another demanded HYBE take action against the protestors, warning the ARMY will send out trucks of their own if the company doesn’t take strict actions.

This comes after fans also sent condolences flowers outside the HBYE office last week with harsh messages asking Suga to exit BTS. Previously, HYBE officially confirmed they won’t let go of Suga over the DUI incident. “Talk of Suga leaving BTS is nonsense.

We will apologize and work harder to resolve the conflict among fans,” the company said..
