In a groundbreaking study, the vice-chancellor of Covenant University, Professor Abiodun Adebayo, has revealed remarkable findings about the potential of structured water to enhance health, reduce microbial contamination, and optimize physicochemical properties. The research, conducted in Ota, Ogun state, focused on analyzing various water samples—ranging from rainwater and tap water to distilled and bottled water—subjected to innovative structuring technologies. “We embarked on this study to understand how water, essential for all living organisms, can be optimized for better quality and health benefits,” Adebayo told LEADERSHIP.
Utilizing QNET’s Amezcua Bio Disc 3, the research team tested the effects of supercharging water for periods ranging from 15 minutes to 48 hours. The findings demonstrated significant improvements in pH balance, alkalinity, electrical conductivity, and microbial suppression across structured water samples. One of the key highlights of the study was the impact on E.
coli and coliform bacteria, both notorious for causing waterborne diseases. “By structuring the water, we observed a dramatic reduction in microbial contaminants, showing promise for antimicrobial applications,” Adebayo noted. The structured water also showed increased ability to dissolve minerals, indicating its potential to enhance nutrient absorption in humans, animals, and plants.
The study employed advanced analytical techniques and adhered to globally recognized scient.
