The couple with the "strongest connection" are very comfortable with one another already, it appears. Shayne Ward and pro partner Nancy Xiu bagged a score of 21 from the judges during the first live show on Saturday night (September 21). They danced a samba to Stevie Wonder's Do I Do.

And body language expert Darren Stanton says the pair have the "strongest connection" out of all of the Strictly couples in this year's competition. Speaking on behalf of , he said the duo are "very tactile" with one another already. "These two are going to be really strong contenders for me," he said.

"They’ve clearly got a very good connection already, very tactile with each other, great eye contact. They moved very effortlessly as one person. "Even though they received criticism from the judges, I still see these guys going quite a way through the competition.

I’m not convinced they will win at the moment, but their connection is the strongest out of everyone for me so far. "They’ve got a really deep rapport and interpersonal connection, but again, he’s left his ego at the door, which is really important. Shayne has thrown himself into it, and I think these two are one of the strongest right now.

" Ward, a former X Factor champ, recently addressed criticism from Strictly fans claiming he was being too cocky on the show. Others had loved his routine, but some felt he was getting too big for his boots. One fan wrote: "The overconfidence is actually something I'm not enjoying about Shayne right now.

No question, he's good but he's NOT the master of all things dance." Another wrote: "Find someone who loves you as much as Shayne Ward loves himself. A third said: "He's insufferable.

" Shayne wrote on Instagram: "Strictly is amazing and I love being part of it. But through my smile on TV I'm as nervous as the next person. Not cocky or overconfident.

.. I'm nervous! "I just gotta work hard and listen to my wonderful teacher Nancy Xiu.

All I can do is my best!".
