Deaf activist star reportedly “dated” former champion . According to , the Italian pro dancer Giovanni, 31, and the former star, 23, connected via Instagram back in 2021. It is understood the pair messaged privately on the app which led to the duo meeting in person back in January 2022.

Sources claim the former pro dancer wined and dined the blonde bombshell, who is also a dancer and has performed for the likes of pop star MNEK. But they claim their romance fizzled out after the ballroom expert took part on the Strictly nationwide tour. The insider close to Tasha revealed: “Giovanni was persistent when it came to Tasha.

They have a lot in common, both being dancers, and he had just learned a lot about the deaf community with Rose on Strictly, who Tasha really admires. “Tasha was impressed by how gentlemanly he was, taking her out to top London restaurants and offering to send cars to collect her, but she’s independent and always made her own way to see him. Their romance didn’t progress because Giovanni was travelling a lot with Strictly tour and Tasha was already involved with someone else.

” Daily Star has contacted the Love Island beauty and Giovanni’s representatives for a comment. It comes after the blonde bombshell was announced as the seventh contestant to sign up for the brand-new BBC series. On Wednesday (August 7), it was revealed that the campaigner will be taking to the dancefloor, which is set to kick off this autumn.

The news was announced live on KISS FM when she joined breakfast hosts Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely on the programme. She told listeners: “I feel nervous, excited, like I’m about to throw up. It didn’t feel real til I was here now, but I’m so gassed, I’m so excited.

” When she was asked which pro dancer she would like to be paired up with, she gushed: “I do have a dream of who I would love to be with, I’ve not even met them yet. “It would be Jojo (Johannes Radebe), I would love to work with him.” She also addressed the potential backlash to appearing on the show due to her previous career as a professional dancer.

She went on: “I’ve not danced in quite a few years now, since Love Island my career is very different. It’s a very different dance style – I may not be good at it. I’m excited for the challenge.

” Speaking to the BBC, Tasha said this morning: “Pinch me, I can’t believe I’m going to be on ! I’ve been watching the show since I was little – it's a firm Ghouri family favourite – so this is a total dream come true. “I know it’s going to be an unforgettable experience and I hope to represent and make everyone proud out on that dancefloor.” She will be competing alongside 80s pop legend Toyah Wilcox, comedian Chris McCausland, JLS singer JB Gill and Go Compare opera singer Wynne Evans.
