Strictly Come Dancing sensation Chris McCausland is barely recognisable in his obscure Cbeebies role from the past. The comedian, a regular on panel shows such as Would I Lie To You and appearing in sitcoms like Not Going Out, had his first major TV exposure on the children's programme Me Too! , playing the character of market trader Rudi between 2006 and 2007. In the fictional setting of Riverseafingal, Chris was notable for his striking yellow and gold attire, performing catchy tunes and teaching kids about various topics ranging from not littering to the importance of a healthy diet.

Reddit users who have only recently stumbled upon his early acting gig were astonished, taking to the platform to express their surprise, reports the Express . One user exclaimed: "Absolute legend." Another humorously suggested: "It would be hilarious if he redid the routine now.

" A third person commented: "I swear I've seen this exact same video, but with Miles Jupp...

" which prompted a quick clarification from another: "Well yes, this show follows a very similar template to Balamory. "Set in a fictional Scottish town, each episode is centred around one of the characters and at some point during the episode they have a problem to solve." Chris took centre stage in four episodes of the show yet his transition from children's television to stand-up comedy isn't the only significant shift in his career.

Originally from Liverpool, Chris relocated to London to pursue software engineering at Kingst.
