Amy Dowden is ecstatic as she receives copy of her book Strictly Come Dancing 's Amy Dowden was assisted by fellow pro Carlos Gu in a big career moment. The star took delivery of her book Dancing In The Rain and Carlos eagerly helped her open the box as she excitedly realised what was inside. The Welsh dancer posted a clip of the monumental moment to her 660,000 Instagram followers.
In the short video, a box is dropped off as friends look on. After she and Carlos open it she squeals with excitement as she brandishes a copy of the tome. Captioning it she wrote: "The first time I held and saw MY BOOK.
"Think you can tell I’m soooooooo happy with it! I really hope ‘Dancing In The Rain’ helps others. Can’t believe how close we are to publication date ( you can pre-order now, link in my bio) Welsh love #mybook #dancingintherain #mystory." Subtitled "My story of hope, courage and resilience" the book, which is out on September 5, tells Amy's story including detailing her battles with Crohn's disease and breast cancer.

Neil Jones was a man of few words but responded with a raised hands and four applause emojis. Former contestant Stacey Dooley also commented posting seven party emojis.
Meanwhile, this year's contestant JB Gill , who is currently rehearsing with Amy and the other pros, wrote: "HUGE congratulations," with three applause emojis. Her fans also chimed in offering their congratulations with many commenting how fabulous her hair looked. Don't miss.

The pair turned 34 on August 10 and threw an outdoor celebration with friends to mark the occassion. At the time Amy posted an image to her Instagram stories of the two of them smiling broadly as they clutched cocktails at the get together. This year's celebrations were all the sweeter for the dancer as they came just over a year after she was diagnosed with breast cancer which forced her to sit out the last season of Strictly Come Dancing and which she will talk about in the book.
She discovered her first lump in April 2023 - just a day before she was due to fly on her honeymoon to the Maldives with new husband Ben. She said that the lump was "life-changing" and "never thought" she would have recieved a cancer diagnosis..
