Strictly Come Dancing Head Judge Shirley Ballas has had a facelift - but there is strictly no surgery involved. Head judge Shirley said she felt she had a "new lease of life" after the anti-ageing treatment from a new high-tech non-surgical facelift procedure, performed by a top aesthetic doctor. And in the before and after pictures it appears that the skin is lifted, her jawline and cheekbones raised, loose skin around the neck is tightened, redness and spider veins have been significantly reduced and sunspots gone.
For the past year, Shirley, who turned 64 earlier this month, has been seeing one of the UK's top cosmetic doctors for a series of the latest non-invasive procedures to rejuvenate her face and neck. Shirley said: "I have to say that I think these treatments have shaved 30 years off me. It has made me feel so confident and comfortable in my own skin.
"There's a famous Beatles song that goes, 'will you still need me, will you still feed me when I'm 64', well I turned 64 last week, and I feel like I've got a new lease of life." The results were achieved with a series of monthly NeoGen nitrogen plasma treatments which were relatively pain-free. The treatment is 100% natural and a completely non-ablative procedure which creates thermal trauma within the dermis which tricks the body to generating collagen and elastin.
Shirley says that prior to the work by Dr Johanna Ward she felt insecure about her appearance and had even considered having cosmetic surgery. She added:.
