The BBC report into the Strictly Come Dancing scandal concerning Giovanni Pernice and Amanda Abbington will be released today. It has been months since Amanda made complaints about Giovanni's behaviour on the show. And now, after a long time of waiting, the findings are due to be published on Monday afternoon.
It comes a few weeks after the BBC competition returned to screens for its 20th anniversary series. The investigation has been ongoing for four months after Amanda claimed Giovanni, 34, bullied her during their rehearsal sessions. She questioned his teaching methods and described his behaviour as "unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean".
He has vehemently denied all of the claims against him. In one interview, Amanda compared the BBC show to "the trenches" as she told Channel 4 News the broadcaster's producers had been left "horrified" by clips that proved her allegations of "humiliating behaviour of a sexual nature." The 50-year-old star was on the show for several weeks but pulled out early.
