Annabel Croft has shared her ‘delight’ that her son, Charlie Coleman, has announced his engagement to the luxury firm heiress, Honour Wainwright. Charlie, 27, who works in finance, is set to marry Honour, whose father, Micheal, is managing director of the luxury jewellery firm Boodles. He is the sixth generation of his family to run the business.

According to the a source has said the Croft family ‘are delighted and really looking forward to the wedding’, adding ‘It's given everyone a boost’. Honour now works alongside her father as one of the company's marketing managers. In 2022, she spoke of the significance of the company to her life, saying, 'I've grown up in Boodles', and 'It's always been a part of my life and I've always known I want to work here ultimately'.



News of the engagement comes a year after the death of Annabel Croft's husband, yachtsman and investment banker, Mel Coleman. Aged 60 when he died, he passed away eight weeks after being diagnosed with colon cancer. Weeks later, Annabel Croft would appear on Strictly Come Dancing.

In an interview with , she said, 'Mel always loved Strictly. He'd cry watching it and I'm completely heartbroken he's not here to watch with me.' 'It's been a terrible, terrible time and there hasn't been a day where I haven't cried.

That's why I think it's good I'm doing something that will distract me.' Speaking on Loose Women whilst appearing on the programme, she told how the grief ‘comes in wave’. She said, 'There are many days where you're just sobbing at home but with Strictly and meeting Johannes and going on this journey together, it literally has distracted me from all of that pain.

'And they're are days, I mean poor Johannes has had to cope with quite a few in the rehearsal rooms and everything.'.
