Yesterday, the BBC confirmed five stars on the line-up, including comedian Chris McCausland, who is making history as the first blind contestant.

It won’t be long until we have the next two names – they will be announced on Jordan and Perri’s Kiss Breakfast Show. We’re now signing this blog off for the night, but stay tuned tomorrow for more updates as the official announcements continue! Despite the Strictly line-up reportedly being revealed, we’re expecting at least two official announcements, starting on Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely’s Kiss FM radio show. Earlier today, Perri Kiely dropped hints over the two contestants to be announced on his Kiss FM radio show with Jordan Banjo.

But following the line-up being reportedly revealed, fans are baffled over who the clues are about. Emma wrote on X: ‘Whos the one who likes lasagne and does backflips? Sporty spice? A member of diversity or garfield?’ Meanwhile fan account @StrictlySparks wondered whether Pete Wicks can do a backflip, having possibly met Perri on Celebs Go Dating. If the rumours are true, it looks like two Strictly Christmas special winners will be taking part this year.

JB Gill won the festive edition in 2012, while EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick won just last year. A source told The Sun : ‘Although an EastEnders actor is on Strictly every year, this is the first time a performer on the festive special has gone directly into the competition. ‘Producers and viewers were blown away by Jamie’s dancing.

‘It’s not clear yet whether he will take a break from the soap or if he’ll juggle dance rehearsals with doing scenes for the soap.’ Following reports that the full line-up for Strictly Come Dancing 2024 has been revealed, the BBC has not confirmed nor denied any stars taking part. A spokesperson said: ‘The class of Strictly 2024 will be officially confirmed in due course by following @bbcstrictly on Instagram.

’ So far, only five celebrities have been officially confirmed by the BBC. Following the reported leaked line-up, it’s been claimed Strictly will have the fewest female celebrities in the show’s history. The bullying allegations and scandal in recent weeks, which have seen dancers Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima no longer in the professional line-up, it’s been claimed women have been put off signing up.

A source told The Sun : ‘Looking at the figures, it’s hard to see how the ongoing controversy over bullying could not have affected the recruitment process for this year’s Strictly. ‘At no point in the show’s history has there been such a small proportion of women. ‘It probably wasn’t the landmark number they wanted, given the show is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

‘The most serious claims of abuse and bullying have involved male pros and their treatment of female celebrity dance partners.’ The insider added: ‘It means the odds are against a woman making it to the final stages of the competition.’ Giovanni has denied the claims by Amanda Abbington , while Graziano said that he ‘regretted’ the actions that led to his departure after he was partnered with Zara McDermott.

After the line-up was reportedly leaked, fans have shared their excitement at the cast, including a former Love Island star and a Gladiator. ‘If this line-up is true then that’s a great cast for this year,’ Benji wrote on X. ‘Great line-up,’ Stacey added.

According to The Sun , the full Strictly Come Dancing 2024 cast has been ‘revealed’. As well as the five confirmed names, Chris McCausland, Dr Punam Krishan, Toyah Willcox, JB Gill, Wynne Evans and Olympian Tom Dean – who revealed he was a part of the line-up earlier this month before it’s been officially announced – it is said to include: Jamie Borthwick Nick Knowles Pete Wicks Paul Merson Tasha Ghouri Sam Quek Shayne Ward Montell Douglas, aka Fire from Gladiators and Sarah Hadland Metro.co.

uk has approached the BBC for comment. Eye charity Orbis UK has praised Strictly for ‘breaking barriers’ by including comedian Chris McCausland. #StrictlyComeDancing. ‘At Orbis UK, we know that breaking barriers and raising awareness about vision loss is crucial. ‘Chris’s participation in #Strictly is a huge step forward in showing the world what’s possible, no matter your sight.

Ahead of the announcement tomorrow, Perri teased: ‘This contestant might be prone to a backflip and this contestant loves a lasagne.’ While Jordan admitted he knew both contestants, he had no idea which one that set of clues actually belongs to. Hinting at the second star announced tomorrow, Perri shared: ‘They live next door to an average of four to nine rabbits, this contestant might already be in transit, and I’ve seen them naked.

’ Who could it possibly be? Diversity stars Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely have confirmed two more celebrities will be revealed as part of the line-up on their KissFM radio show tomorrow. ‘Tomorrow morning, we’re announcing two Strictly contestants. This is huge, and Perri decided to play with fire this morning and give three clues to each contestant,’ Jordan announced earlier today.

He added: ‘Thankfully the clues were absolutely useless.’ ‘It was not useless!’ Perri hit back with. After announcing they were taking part in Strictly Come Dancing 2024, the three new Strictly contestants took to social media to introduce themselves.

‘I’m nervous, excited, I’m going to break out some moves you’ve never seen before, unintentionally, and now, I can’t get the Strictly theme tune out of my head,’ Wynne said. Toyah added that she is ‘so excited’ and ‘cannot wait for the glitter, spray tan, dresses and heels, and of course, to be dancing with a fabulous dance partner.’ Dr Punam said she had ‘massively taken herself out of her comfort zone’ but is ‘buzzing and thrilled’ for the experience.

When it was announced on Monday that JB Gill will be doing Strictly, several fans said that they hope that he isn’t ‘robbed’ on the show...

like his JLS bandmate Aston Merrygold. In 2017, Aston competed on the BBC series with professional dancer Janette Manrara. Despite the musician’s flair for dancing, the couple were the sixth to be eliminated, after landing in the bottom two opposite The Saturdays singer Mollie King and her partner AJ Pritchard.

Seven years later, JLS fans are hoping JB will fare better. So far, there have been several celebrities confirmed for Strictly 2024 that weren’t mentioned in possible rumours for the cast. Some fans are loving the element of surprise, with one writing on a fan group: ‘Loving how most of the celebrities so far weren’t on the rumour lists.

Much more exciting when it’s a total surprise!’ ‘What a great line up so far!’ another said, while someone else wrote: ‘I love Toyah!! So excited she is taking part.’ Today’s newly-announced Strictly celebrities – Wynne Evans, Toyah Willcox and Dr Punam Krishan – have been celebrated by fellow stars of the show on Instagram. When Wynne was revealed, head judge Shirley Ballas commented on Instagram by quoting his famous operatic Go Compare advert, writing: ‘Ahh fabulous.

Go Comparreeee. Welcome @wynneevans ❤️.’ JLS singer JB Gill, who was revealed as a participant yesterday, commented on 80s music icon Toyah’s big reveal: ‘Yes Toyah! Looking forward to working alongside you again lovely.

’ Former Strictly star Rhys Stephenson expressed his excitement over Morning Live’s Dr Punam Krishan joining the cast by commenting: ‘We are about to see party girl Punam and I am READY!!!!’ We have a little while to go until we find out which pro dancers the celebrities taking part in Strictly will be partnered up with, but that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate. The swimmer, who won gold at Paris 2024, revealed recently that he will be doing the dancing competition, stating: ‘I thought it would be really exciting to try something a bit different.

’ However, he’s yet to be officially confirmed by the BBC. While appearing on Capital Breakfast on Tuesday, Tom shook his head as they played the Strictly theme music. ‘Are we talking about this or not?’ presenter Chris Stark asked, as the athlete remained tight-lipped.

‘I think I uh...

am just focusing on enjoying the Olympic moment right now and spending a lot of time with my teammates, and I’ll see what the summer holds.’ Radio’s Jordan North then brought up that he’d also been rumoured, adding that he was ‘absolutely not doing it’.
