Strictly Come Dancing star Chris McCausland has revealed he was given a special offer by producers of the BBC show but decided to turn it down. The 47-year-old who is currently riding high in this year's competition, appeared on Wednesday night's edition of The One Show alongside his professional dance partner, Dianne Buswell. Discussing their experience on the dance show, Chris and Dianne told presenters Clara Amfo and Vernon Kay that their experience has been nothing short of extraordinary despite facing certain challenges.

Chris, who is the first blind contestant to ever take to the Strictly dance floor explained how he's often filled with nerves but is glad that the audience at home and in the studio have enjoyed his routines so far. Quizzing Chris on how he's managing with the noise from the studio audience, Clara asked: "Now when you move from the rehearsals to the dance floor, does the noise of the audience affect your dancing, Chris?" Sharing his perspective, Chris replied: "Yeah it does because when you're training I have a sense of Dianne around me and I've got the space around me. "But when you've got an audience, they're making a lot of noise it all closes in around you and I can't really hear Dianne at all, so it really makes it very different and that's why I lot of the nerves came from that first episode, I was worried could I do all of this in that environment.

" Sharing insight into the proposal he was given, he said: They did offer me and say 'Would you like .
