Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao's Stree 2 has set the BO on fire, becoming one of the biggest hits, not just of the year, but also all time. What's more, it is not just the lead actors who are grabbing all the attention, but even the cameos are being loved by all! Actor Akshay Kumar’s cameo in Stree 2 has generated significant buzz. Recently, in an interview, the film’s writer, Niren Bhatt , discussed the potential for a standalone film centered on Akshay’s character.

In the latter half of Stree 2, Akshay Kumar made a surprise appearance in a special role. His character, whose name remains undisclosed, is introduced as the leader of a hospital for the mentally disabled and the last living member of Sarkata's bloodline. He holds the key to permanently vanquishing the ghost.

When asked about the future of Akshay’s character and whether there are plans to feature him more prominently in future installments of the Stree universe , Bhatt told IndiaToday.in, "I won't be able to reveal much. But, rest assured, we have plans for each and every character in the universe.

Even the smallest and the biggest of them." He suggested that Akshay's role might evolve into a more substantial part in the future. Akshay Kumar makes voting debut in 2024 Lok Sabha elections; his hilarious response to 'standing in queue' will leave you in splits Bhatt elaborated, "In this universe, all the characters find each other and interact with each other in some way or another.

We can make so many movies in this universe. And who wouldn't want to make a solo film like this? Our job is to work on the best angles and find the best narratives. As long as we are committed to writing for this universe, the sky is the limit for us.

Anything can happen. " He shared a behind-the-scenes story: "We were doing 'Skyforce' with Akshay sir and one day, Amar (Amar Kaushik, director) called me and said 'what do you think about pitching this scene to him?'. Of course, I was taken aback and thought it was too small for his stature.

Amar said 'try karne me kya jata hai'. I said 'ok, go ahead and see how Akshay sir reacts'. So, he went and narrated the scene to him.

" He added that Akshay loved the scene and immediately decided to come on board. Interestingly, Bhatt revealed that Akshay’s cameo was not specifically written for him. "The scene was always part of the script to advance the story of Stree 2.

We hadn’t cast any actor for it initially. It was just a matter of finding the right person for the role," he concluded..
